One of our
favorite mods is the Buzz Feiten Tuning System (BFTS). Most guitars can
never be fully in tune. Sure, you can get an A major chord in tune with
itself, but as soon as you do, your D major is going to sound horribly out
of tune. That's just the way guitars work, right? Well, not anymore!
Buzz Feiten has come up with a cure for what ails you. The BFTS
incorporates a special 'shelf' nut, which works wonders to help your
guitar play in better tune. But that's not all - The BFTS also calls
for very specific variations on the intonation at the bridge end of the
guitar. The combination of these two elements allows you to use
"sweetened" tuning, and believe me, it does sound sweet. You can finally
get all those formerly-conflicting chords to play nice with each other.
And guess what? Guitars incorporating the BFTS just sound better. And
if your guitar sounds better, you'll play better. Simple as that.
